A+ Mint
MINT condition. Item never used. Aging will be apparent. No flaws except those that may have occurred during its actual printing. NO PINHOLES, NO BROWNING or BRITTLENESS. Minor amount of wear may be present at borders, edges or folds. NO CREASES of any kind on LOBBY CARDS. Printed Theater Logos MAY APPEAR on Window Cards in the appropriate space. ROLLED posters only began appearing around 1985, so "Folded" posters otherwise unused are NOT DEGRADED. Printing registration should be perfect, and the folding and trimming process should not have resulted in any damage.
A Near Mint
NEAR MINT condition. Item may be unused or very carefully used in the theater. One tiny PINHOLE or STAPLE HOLES MAY APPEAR in each corner. Folded posters MAY HAVE MINOR FOLD WEAR as long as the wear does not affect the quality of the image.
A- Excellent
EXCELLENT or VERY FINE condition. Item was carefully used, and may have more than one pinhole in each corner, but the paper is bright, supple, and clean. This item may have more fold wear than a Near Mint poster, but without significant color loss in the folded area. Some color loss is expected in this grade, but if the fold wear is such that a solid white line results, then it must be downgraded to B+ or VERY GOOD. Older pieces will be slightly yellow, but not brown. Minimal or slight restoration may be present if professionally done. Piece MAY NOT HAVE ANY PAPER LOSS in this grade. NO TAPE, and NO WRITING ON THE FRONT of the poster, and NO BLEED-THROUGH WRITING from back of the poster is accepted. GOOD-VERY GOOD condition. Item shows significant signs of use. MULTIPLE PINHOLES and STAPLE HOLES are present, and possibly a SMALL TAPE STAIN. Small markings of PEN or PENCIL MAY BE PRESENT. Very small CHIPS OF BORDER PAPER MAY BE MISSING. NO HEAVY WATERSTAINS in this grade, but a MINOR DAMPSTAIN is allowed. SIGNIFICANT SUN-FADING NOT ALLOWED in this grade.

C + Good

GOOD condition. Significantly used that MAY START TO AFFECT THE OVERALL IMAGE AND EYE APPEAL. Larger pieces of BORDER PAPER MAY BE MISSING. May have TAPE and WRITING. The IMAGE AND EYE APPEAL are BEGINNING TO BE DEGRADED.

C Fair

FAIR condition. Used or even abused. May have SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF TAPE and WRITING that significantly AFFECTS THE EYE APPEAL OF THE IMAGE.

C- Poor

POOR condition. Item may have missing pieces, fragile or brittle paper, amateurish tape repair or color touchup, and any number of other flaws and deficiencies.
